What a week at Gita Nagari! Our temple presidents return!
Dhruva Maharaja das and Parijata dasi returned from a pilgrimage to Mayapur and Chowpati India. They recharged their batteries with His Holiness Devamrita Swami, our GBC, chanting and hearing about the glories of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. They also visited The Eco Village near Mumbai, and came away inspired to make Gita Nagari even better. Thank you Prabhus for your tireless efforts to push forward this project!
Community Mangala Arati
Devaki Prabhu organized a gathering of community devotees last Sunday, December 6 for Mangala Arati. Twelve amazing people showed up and gave a rousing greeting to Sri Sri Radha Damodar. You should see the timeless smile lighting Radharani's face when they chanted Gurvastakam and the Maha Mantra. Priceless. Please join them at the next gathering.
Radhanatha Swami's Vyasa Puja
Sunday, December 6, saw another joyous celebration at Gita Nagari. His Holiness Radhanatha Swami's appearance day is December 7, and we honored him so more devotees could join us. Jhulan yatra, Sakhi Priya, Sachi Priya, and Priya Mangari are disciples of Maharaja. They led us in glorifying Maharaja with offerings of flowers, bhoga, arati, Puspanjali, and bhajans. Jaganatha Pandit, Cintamani, Yasoda Mayi, Hari Cakra, Devaki, and Mother Parijata Prabhus shared their personal experiences with Maharaja and reminded us of his selfless and tireless service to all without consideration of qualification. Naturally, Mother Yasoda stayed in the background preparing an awesome feast for Maharaja and the devotees. Hari Cakra and his family donated the flowers for our celebration. Ananda Vilas Prabhu and his wife are also disciples of HH Radhanatha Swami, and he came early to offer Maharaja a feast and arati. He then hurried to Harrisburg to join his wife in preparing another feast. As I'm sure you know, the hallmark of Maharaja's disciples is their constant service attitude.
