A Day at Gita Nagari
Prabhlad Prabhu under the guidance of Dhruva Maharaja das tends to the cows on a daily basis.  He milks twice a day, and he rotates the herds to fresh grazing pastures frequently. Nandisvara Prabhu has taken the challenge of setting up the paddocks to ensure our three herds and the calves have all the fresh grass they need to prosper.  Nandi says "happy cows, happy life". Gauri Dasi writes -
Feeling Rich.
After a day of natural gems from Mother Earth - a sweet baby Bluejay, picking blackberries, fantastic Rooster Mushrooms, harvesting Burdock root, picking up beautiful shed  Peacock feathers, sewing seeds for Mother Cows pasture, gathering Mullein flowers, and now watching Mr Skunk walking down the path away from our house while the fireflies dance around him.

Iskcon's Fiftieth Anniversary

Srimad-Bhagavatam 1.14.34 Purport
The Lord is the protector of cows and the brahminical culture. A society devoid of cow protection and brahminical culture is not under the direct protection of the Lord, just as the prisoners in the jails are not under the protection of the king but under the protection of a severe agent of the king. Without cow protection and cultivation of the brahminical qualities in human society, at least for a section of the members of society, no human civilization can prosper at any length. Recent visitors to Gita Nagari

His Holiness Candra Mali Swami blessed us with His transcendental association.  He led a workshop called "The Tree of Life" which inspired us to commit ourselves to our spiritual development.  He danced with the devotees and shared His deep realizations from His decades of Krishna Consciousness.  Thank you Maharaja!  We look forward to seeing you at Gita Nagari very soon.  We are grateful for your dedication to Gita Nagari and the legacy of HH Bhakti Tirtha Swami.
Sixty friends from The School of Life visited Gita Nagari last weekend.  They traveled from New York city, New Jersey, and Canada to spend the holiday weekend with us.  They were a joyous and vibrant group that fit right in with our simple living, high thinking lifestyle.   We had a blast introducing them to our varied menus and ahimsa dairy products.  Thank you Kishori Rani Prabhu for your support.
