- Do you get the 'blue screen of death' during computer start up, shut down or normal use?
No problem! Wheatland Computer Services will get your computer up and running like it should!
Computer problems are hardware or software related. If hardware, such as a hard drive or memory, have become defective, your computer performance will be noticeably affected. Repairing hardware issues will allow your system to run at its peak performance.
Sometimes all the hardware will be working properly and you may just need a hardware upgrade. Still running 512 mb of RAM on a system that is running Windows XP or Vista? You need to upgrade your memory to allow for better performance. Still using that 20 gb hard drive and want to copy your recent family photos onto your computer but have no space? It is likely that your hard drive is too full to allow for proper functioning of your system. With hard drive space as cheap as it is these days, an upgrade to 100 gb, 250 gb, or more will give you some room to expand!
Software can be just as complicated. Recently installed a new piece of software and your system dramatically slowed down? There could be a conflict between pieces of software or something may be running in the background that you are not aware of...i.e. spyware, malware, or other memory hogging programs. The possibilites are endless.
